According to the weather you all are freezing you butts off....now its been cold down here....freezing to us Florida Natives.....we have to smoke outdoors at work.....so we put on the coat...gloves...ski hat....and smoke......a few of use were talkign about how it must be a pain in the butt for people up north...and ???? what if any arrangements do they make for the people up north to smoke...like smokeing rooms inside....heateed area....or do you all just have to not smoke or smoke and freeze....told you silly ?????

We have a gazeebo that is a designated area. In the winter it gets covered with plastic.

At my civi job people can smoke in the shop/wharehouse, but not in the offices.

Toledo just enacted a city wide ban on smoking in all buildings. You either go outside, or go to a bar or restaurant that has a smoking room added. Smoking room must be well sealed and ventilated.

Which is one of the zillion reasons I don't smoke. I see it as a weakness, a bondage. At least one soldier I read of, when captured, decided right then and there to quit smoking, so that his captors could never use it to manupulate him.

Whether in war or in peace, addiction in my opinion is a small form of slavery. Just think of all the guns you could buy with what you've spent on tobacco.

In the occupied territories of NY you can’t smoke inside, work places bars or restaurants so folks have to smoke outside, now they snuck this through under a workplace heath issue. To make the work place smoke free “for the employees” but now they are issuing smoking ban wavers. Makes a lot of sense to me. Hay this is unsafe for your employees but for a small fee we will issue you a waver to harm your employees again.
Now I’m not against smoking, being a former smoker I think everyone has the right to do it or not, I don’t like to smell it when I’m eating but could care less if the guy next to me in a bar lights up. So I’m kind of half and half on this one, smoking sections around here are a joke anyway (like a wall 3’ tall is going stop any smoke anyway) so this helped me anyway in the dinning area, but it has hurt a lot of small bars and the local VFW is getting ready to close the doors.

Oh yah temp here is minus 4 with a wind chill of minus 30 they closed the schools two days in a row for the wind chills.
