FAC used to sell a stainless locking block made in Korea(?). That might also be worth looking into.

I heard FAC is out of business now so Bar-Sto may be the only game in town.

I have 2 new pt-92 afb's with light rails and am having a problem. The triggers are pinching my finger between the bottom of the trigger and the trigger guard while recoiling and after a day at the range the finger is sore.
Our 5 yr. old stainless steel 92 does not do this. The new triggers feel different, more squared off with sharper edges or something!? Has anyone else found this to be a problem. If I can't find a trigger shoe for it I may sell them. Help!

Recoil springs can change extraction. I have two pistols CZ and FEG that flung empties 35 feet till I put new springs in and now empties fall at my feet. The P-38 I have flung empties right onto my forehead till I put new recoil springs in it.

I guy I know at work does that. He creates handloads that could sink the Bismark. He's a nutcase. I always wondered why he didn't just move up to a larger caliber and use the recommended loads. Why overload a round? Some pistols like the Sigs and Kimbers are specifically designed for +p loads. I guess that's why they cost more.

Jesse-
When I went to load your picture it looked "Fathead" sized at more than twice life size and looked like it was part of that movie "A scanner darkly". Anyway I'm sure it is a beautiful piece and congrats on the custom.

I don't own it anymore but own this instead:

That being said, that old Taurus PT-92AF rocked the house. If I remember correctly, when I replaced the extractor, I put this pistol through a reliability test: approx. 220 9mm rounds at 15 meters on a bowling pin target. 100 of the 220 were +p 9mm. I fired the rounds rapidfire from 8- 15 and 5- 20 round mags as fast as I could pull the trigger and change the mag.The rounds ( if my memoy serves) were 115 Win. USA ball, 124 gr speer Gold Dot, Cor-Bon 115 gr. +p, and 124 gr. +p Speer Gold Dot. Needless to say, this was basically a meltdown test by civilian standards. All rounds held inside of 3 1/2" and the center of the bowling pin target looked like a baseball had been fired through it. The trigger was really easy to adjust to, it had a fast reset, similar to the S&W 645 or a 1911.

Years ago, when I was finishing college, the Taurus PT-92 was THE 9mm to have. This was in the days before anybody knew what a Glock was, CZ's were made in a communist country, the Hi-Power needed extensive customization, and the Beretta was 50% more in cost. I think the First Taurus 9mm I was ever priced was a PT-99 at $209.00 + tax NIB. A few extra mags and a set of Pachmayer grips... you were set.

Excellent pistol. Great memories.

Buying Korean parts to improve a Brazilian gun, what have we come to?

My feelings exactly... The FAC barrels were well made but needed an 11deg. crown and chamber polish. I replaced the old PT-92 locking block with a new one, sent by Taurus. Never did find the FAC stainless locking blocks, but I'm now using Beretta and Taurus locking blocks as needed.
