I think NRAJOE might be sorry he jumped on that new F150, because the ARO (Auto ROmania) is now being imported to the US as the 244X SRV http://www.crosslander4x4.com/ Part time 4x4, 4.0L, 7.8" grould clearance, 22mpg Highway/17mpg city, 4 doors, 207hp, 5spd manual or auto tranny, max slope 40 degrees, 102in wheelbase, 15" wheels That is everything good about my Bronco II and better. And the best thing is they say it'll retail under $20k (though I think that's optimistic, but we'll see). I think BattleRifle may have found his next truck. Maybe an intermediate step before the F-250.

Cool...theres even a dealer right here in Toledo about 5 miles away from me Downtown: Toledo Cross Lander 1415 Jefferson Ave. Toledo, Ohio 43624 419-241-3165 I'll have to go down there and ask if they are going to make an "Eddie Bauervich" Limited AK version!

I saw something about "Amazon", I wonder if these are built in Romania or under license in Brazil? If they are made in Romania I bet that 4.0 V6 is a Ford engine (already passes US emissions), those numbers sound a lot like theirs. Supposedly Ford is going to market a new "Bronco" that is similar in size as the 60s and early 70s Bronco. Body on frame construction, 2 speed transfer case, and Dana axles, all for less then $18,000 - we'll see. Suposed to be a return to "serious" off roading instead of 4X4 Lincoln Town Car like vehicles.

I thought the new Bronco was just a concept car. It would be nice to see something like it hit the roads again, but I think it could use some better styling without losing any practicality. Sounds like a reasonable speculation that the Crosslander engine is the same used in Ford Rangers.

Hmmmm . . . I was just thinking how it'd be good if Ford would bring back the original Bronco. This thing resembles a cross between the old Bronco and a LandRover. Definitely on the possibles list.
