| Well they do make a good point. We don't blink an eye at the negro college fund but heaven forfend if white kids have there own scholoarship.

| Senior Member  | Read about this in the paper today. Scholarships and financial aid should be based upon merit and not income or race. When I was in college I could not qualify for the "free financial aid" due to parent's income; however many of the kids wore nicer clothes than I had. ' Go figure.

| I think it is silly that people can only get race based scolerships IF they are a minority.....IF SOMEONE wants to put up the $$$ then They get to decide who qualafies...dont have to like it....Im sure this will get so blown out of proportion that it will be beyond silly....not a bad use of $250......talk about the press...news..comentary it is generating.....probly cost news stations millions to report live about the thing. |

| Senior Member  | WOW - sounds like the kid has some morals, intelligence and dignity. 3 very rare commodities in todays college aged kids. He should be on an endangered list of some sort. Not very many of his like around college campuses these days.

|  More power to 'em. The whole "Equality" thing has gotten ridiculous. It's gotta work both ways, or it won't work at all. It hasn't worked for a long time . . .

|  this was my vote A student group offers a scholarship for white students. The group's president says the $250 scholarship is a statement against affirmative action.
