Ok...so the more reluctant guys are beginning to speak up about their education. Keep it up. :right: What about the rest of you?

With the complete range of education by members of G&G...there's still at least one common denominator that we all have. Got any idea what that might be?

I'm just waiting for someone to admit to being an "uneducated dolt." Won't someone come clean and get out of the closet?

Common Sense??? As I see it, no amount of education gives a person common sense. You're either born with it or without it. The guys and gals with common sense immediately go to the top of their pursuits when it comes to doing something practical.

Now...if you've got common sense "and" an education...that's usually a winning ticket to success. :right: There's a whole lot of members on G&G who fall in this last category....and a whole lot of members who don't have a lot of formal education "but" have common sense and have achieved a whole lot to be proud of. :right:

...but you've got those musical talents which most of us will never achieve. My observation of people has been that a lot of people who are "artsey", if you want to call it that, are sometimes lacking in "type A" personality traits and are really laid back in their lifestyles.

To explain what I mean further...several people I know who are non-type "A" almost don't know that the world runs on a schedule. Type A personality people usually are strictly punctual, goal setters, high drive types of people. Non-Type A people take time to smell the roses, are more into the cultured ways of life, and make the world a much nicer place to be.

So what type of personality do you think you have?

I'm definitely a type A. I like to keep my ducks all in a row.:jaw: :right:

After getting out of the Marine Corps I worked as a blacksmith and welder, and for most of the years I went to college, about half as long as I worked after I finished the degrees and before I retired. AS Natural Science, BSME, AA Business, BSBA, BSCS, & MSCS. Started down the path to Piled Higher and deeper, but I saw far too many blithering idiots with PHd's, and didn't want to be classified with them.

Looking back, I should have stayed in blacksmithing and welding, it was a lot more satisfying, besides if I had not gone to college, I would have had time to spend with my kids, and shooting, and I would have had enough money to buy some of the "Guns" that I had to wait 'til later in life to get (at about 5% to 10% of the cost, too)!

7mmag6 - NEVER "ex marine", always Marine or former Marine!

BS in Business Administration, or BS in BA. Have thought about going back, but I'll probably have to wait until after the two year old is out of school to do it.

Uneducated Dolt...No way 7Mmag6...but I like the fact that you volunteered for the role and got us off the hook when volunteers were asked for. Now we can move forward. You're a loyal and dedicated soldier who works for the whole team.

Now we need one more volunteer to fill the original survey's slot for "dropped out of school. The other slots are all taken several times over.

Ok, PapaG, that completes the survey with someone in each of your categories. Now...when will you tell us about your education? Only seems fair that we should hear about what you learned out behind the barn.
