Talking Man, I love this country!

Got out of personell with my DD214 by 9 this morning, took the rest of the day off. Voted on the way home. Changed clothes, went and bought a gun.

Life is good

OOPS

I ordered my daughters birthday present. Savage Cub youth model.

The gun store didn't have one, but theyre bringing it in, if It's not what I want I'm not committed.

It's very close in size to the Marlin in this link;

http://www.marlinfirearms.com/firear...eShot/15YN.htm

They did have a Marlin in stock, but I like the peep site on the Savage. The Savage is about a # lighter too

Jerry, I love this country, too! For the types of reasons you've written about above, plus for a whole lot more.

Also, Jerry, as you can vouch for with your travels, there's a whole bunch of reasons why this country is the greatest of all. Just to list a few of my personal reasons:

-We have the 2nd amendment, etc.
-We have freedoms like in no other country.
-We have wide roads with relatively low traffic.
-We have fuel prices which allow us to drive gas guzzling vehicles.
-We speak English predominately.
-We have one of the lowest tax systems in the world.
-We have the best defense department in the world.
-We have freedom of religion.
-We have opportunities for everyone who is able to work and has the gumption to work hard.

Well...the list goes on and on. After personally traveling to a whole bunch of foreign countries in the past five years I've concluded that we definitley live in the best place of all.

yup jerry! a great day indeed!...but the dems would have folks believe that a great day for a gun owner would be...get out of the klan meeting by nine, spent the rest of the day plotting the distruction of the american way of life, then go by wal-mart and pick up an illegal evil assault rifle and top off the day by doing a drive by at the local voter registration location.
