Angry Possible Terrorist Threat in Texas.

Well my area is on high alert due to the amount of chemical factories in the Pasadena area. The police have increased their force 10% to keep an eye on things. I drive Hwy. 225 everyday to work. Right down the middle of alot of the plants.
That just gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.
The F.B.I. recieved a warning of terrorist activity--possibly because of the upcoming election.
Remember Spain.:assult: :assult:

Went down to Deer Park last month to meet my brother, that area has every kind of petrol chemical factory known and unknown to man. It could upset the ever so delicate oil prices and the toxic pollution would be horrendous. There were LEO's cruising on Harley's and Cars roaming. There was a presence. That's a lot of pipe to patrol.

Yawn . . . .

It would take a great deal of activity to seriously damage a chemical plant
and that level of pre-activity inside a chemical plant would hardly go unnoticed. Note that even the allied bombing of German chemical plants in WW2 was fairly quickly repaired.

A chemical plant is, due to the nature of its workforce, a rather closed society in which people know one another and unusual items are easy to notice.

So, I agree this is mostly just more scare tactics on the part of law enforcement to enhance their budgets and so on.

We have a Big Oil refinery here and yours truly caught an Arab pulled over on the shoulder of a back road takeing pictures of the refinery.
This happened after 911 so there were Police officers guarding the entrances of the refinery.
I went and told one of them and the Arab had left before the cops got there.

Fortuintly for me a gauger was near by and saw him to. We were both called on the carpet by management and Thanked for what we had done.

I was a hero for a day !!! LOL

P.S. 2 days later a Arab was caught with a camara at one of our chemical plants trien to climb a fence.
He was caught ! And know one but a select few cops and management knows what they did with the guy.
The FBI took him off some where...A.H

Terrorists best watch out

Here in TX, folks aren't afraid to shoot back when threatened.

Best cure for terrorism and crime: an armed populace; armed 24/7

While yes, I agree. The best thing this country could do is close the southern border and find a way to get rid of our dependency on oil in general. Wonder how long it will be before either of those happen... Republicans didn't do it, Democrats said they would and have yet to show any proof. Not to mention they said they would end this worthless war thats going to bankrupt this country. At least they tried right, oh wait....

Pred, just out of curiosity, do you TRY to start s***? I mean this is the third or fourth time I have heard you insinuate we are sheep, when a healthy level of alertness never hurt anybody, I mean what do you suggest we do take *EDIT> possible <Edit* terrorist attacks in stride?

"Eh, yep, they hit a chemical factory/ pertol plant/ refinery and such n such amount of innocent citizens were killed... oh well, just another day?"

Sometimes I read your posts and in my opinion, with all due respect, they are aimed at intentionally starting an uproar... all I can say is, "Why?"

Pred is paranoid. Sometimes his paranoias make perfect sense to me, and other times I think he's unclear on the concept of who the enemy is...

Believe me, if I was trying to start it, you would know. I never actually called anyone in this thread a "sheep", I'm just pointing out that most of the BOOGA BOOGA RUN FOR THE HILLS stuff is nothing more then a way to control the masses. I'm confused, terrorist attacks? What attacks? I forgot we are getting hit twice a week. But then again I try to ignore Fox News and CNN.
