Would this forum have affected your gun buying habbits?

A lot of us already have as about as many guns as we are going to get.

Some here are just starting. How in your own opinion would this forum have dictated your gun buying habbits if you just started today?

For me, I'd probably have more C&R's

Just a curiosity question.

I consider that NRAJoe was largely responsible for my buying a CZ52 - thanks, Joe!
And I bought a High Point Carbine partly because of Doglips. Thanks, Doglips!

Otherwise, my buying habits were pretty well established to begin with.

I've learned a lot about different guns that I knew nothing about before joining G&G.

However, I decided that Joe's 50 Caliber MG was more than I needed, and that Mark II 22's .22 was a little under powered...so I settled on something in between...a Rem 700 in 30-06.

Right now I'm focusing on a CCW handgun and I've gotten a lot of great advice on this forum. Don't think I'll need a large bore pistol (something a whole lot bigger than a 44 Mag...might have been a .50 cal.) that Klaus bought. I'm focusing now on .357"s up to .45's because of what I've read on G&G.

this forum has educated me in a lot of things I never knew, to me this site is incredible, the fountain of gun knowledge is, in my opinion, off the charts, I have never seen a site that has encompased the wisdom of this place, and yes, it has reflected in my buying habits

I fI found this site because of the guns that I already had and was looking for info on them, which I got. I already know what my next purchase is an M14. I always wanted one, but this site reinforced it.
Shaun I would want to purchase an AK, if they were legal here!

I use this board to get ideas...to clear up some of my choices...Like askign about the Cetme's and learnign that reloads and factory ammo was a no go...so for me the rifle was a no go. Soem firearms ..like my hi-points are an exception only because you all have not been converted but for other firearm purchase Id say this bord and the input from members has has a pretty strong influence ....more in terms of not buying some firearms...because of what people have said.

Cool No! I don't think I let the forum influance my buying....

I'm pretty hard headed, duh! I usually know what I want and buy it. Though I have been known to dislike something, after I bought it, and, it was distressing to dispoe of it. But, an unliked toy must depart from my presance! A good example was the first, and last, Springfield Armoury 1911 I bought. Yuck! That gun had no personality! It had to go! Replace with an old model 70 Colt!

About as many guns as I can get?

"A lot of us already have as about as many guns as we are going to get."

What does that sentance mean? can you use those words together like that and have it mean something?

And yes, this forum has influenced my buying decisions as well as reinforced previous purchases and deals....

I for one am now going to buy Taurus and Hi Point, the latter I had never heard of. Considering a CZ as well, I wonder who was the influence there????

BTW, a man can never have too many guns. If I ever make the news I want the report to say I have an arsenal in my house!!!
(Truth be told, with 3 rifles, a shotgun or two and a pistol, the MEDIA will say that already...oh yeah, and I have a sword and various assorted knives...)

I'm able to learn about guns that look too good to be true, to see what the catch is. These forums have also helped me find the best sources for the best prices.

IF they busted me/my house..I dont want the media calling 2 guns an arsenal.....I want the police / atf to have to rent 4 U-haul trucks to remove all the guns and ammo....I want the media to strugle to come up with new words for my Super Hi Power, assult style, elemhant sniper rifle, with a hi-cap magazine and "home made" super duper star ship trooper killer bullets I want ATF to have to apepal to congress form more $$ to cover all the overtime that the agents had to work just to log and invatory my stuff......I want Sara Brady to put down her ciggrett and come up with a "Doglips" Bill to prevent my Rotwiller from haveing a CCW and my Labador from carrying his "Duck" gun in a doggie shoulder holster. and then I want Johny Cocren and Jessy Jackson to go on TV to "defend" me and swear that I was the target of the police because I owned a Black dog and make the IRS give me $20,000 to repatrate my labador and rotie for haveing their ancesters domestacated and turned into "pets". Finaly I want the waco envoiormentlist to protest the destruction of my firearms because they have wood stocks and that the fumes will cause the spotted owl to fly backwards

OH A PLEASE DONT LET THE PRESS STAND THERE HOLDING MY JENNINGS 22LR....at least hold up a "real gun"....a mans got to have his dignaty.
