any one stalking this old marine will recieve well you can imagine, thats a very serious problem srx very serious, you should look at what the leos have for it, im sure they have something, thats a really bad problem

7MM as crazy as it sounds this old Marine had a stalker about a year ago.
now being a swab debonare good looking guy like all good Marines. (uhm clearing throught after that good lie) anyway i always go to the gas station up the street and get a cup of coffee everymorning have for the last three years, well this chasier that worked there used to flirt with me, not that she was unatractive or any thing just not my type, (a 12 pack would have changed that thinking) she started with the nice lil " how has your morning been?" to calling me on the phone when she got out of work, don't know how she got my number and i'm still trying to find out how she got my cell phone number. then she started showing up at my door, anyway there is alot more but i told her to go away and that i wasn't interested, she got all weird and kept showing up, i finally called JPD they came and removed her from the property and then came back and asked me why after three years that i was calling it quits that she was really upset, i took me two hours to convince the cops that i didn't even know her last name and that they needed to take her in for evaluation.
after a few calls to her boss and to the local psyc center they did take her to the hospital and ended up admiting her for three weeks while they got her on some meds, i don't mind telling you that girl made me a lil nervous, my ex-wife wasn't even that nuts and she shot me once.( nothing big just in the arm)

I came upon this post late in the action so there isn't much I can add to the great advice most have already given.

Except, I will emphasize the need to get the campus and local police departments involved in this if for no other reason than making a hard paper report about this guy. (who knows?????? perhaps this whacko is already a suspect in a sexual assault or similar crime).

The other reason I mention getting them involved is because of a case here in Arizona back when I was still working where the County Attorney pressed charges against the girl for premeditated assault when she went bonkers on a guy and they found out the stalking had been going on and she never reported it.

Well, it never flew to court since the charges were dropped but it points out the need to report it but I'm not sure of Pennsylvania's LE philosophy is on it.

Rufus i could tell you horor storys about my ex-wife that make combat look like a walk in the park, i felt safer being on the buisness end of an ak47 wielding rag head than i ever did around that woman. and for a woman to scare a Marine that's saying something. but hay we take what is dished out and either ask for seconds or find a new place to eat, thats the way i look at it anyway.

Considering that he has visited campus uninvited, a basic tip to campus security to keep an eye out for a non-student matching his description (given by our friend who spoke to him) might be a good idea. Just mention that he's uninvited and that his attention is unwelcome, so if they do see him they can make sure he's out of there.

Unfortunately I have a little experience with this. My girlfriend has had a stalker for about 8 years now. It's mostly online, but he calls and sends mails sometimes too. Her best defense over all has been completely ignoring him - because unless he's actually threatened her in person, the cops won't do anything about it. He even sent her a dead puppy in the mail once, and all the cops did was record the event in the "record" they have. When she ignores him completely and hangs up the phone if he can get through to her at work (her home number is private and he's never gotten that, but she's had the same job and house for many years) she just hangs up on him. Since she's been doing that he contacts her MUCH less frequently...in fact it's probably been about 4 months since the last contact which was a simple basic e-mail.

He lives many states away and has never been around her physically from what we know. He has moved a couple of times, but it's never anywhere close.

Hopefully this guy won't turn into a true stalker or anything like what My girlfriend's is. Until then, the BEST advice is to ignore him completely. He may threaten and even get worse for a little while, but as long as the cops are keeping track of it you'll at least have an easy defense if you DO have to shoot the !!!!!!! if he comes close. Most stalkers go away if they think they're not getting a rize out of you...even if they truly are. Unfortunately, most stalkers find someone else to stalk instead.
