AK stock refinishing

Found this site on another forum, and thought it worth sharing.

These are fairly detailed instructions for the Romanian SAR1, but should apply to most all AK's.

Bed-liner in a can works well too.The stuff gives a nice, even black textured finish. This stuff is very durable and the texture allows a good cheak-weld.The finished product looks very similar to the bulgarian poly stock. My SAR wears poly on the front because of the welcomed heat-guard in them, and a bedliner painted butstock for it's greater tactical quietness ie. ,it doesn't make nearly as obvious a sound as plastic when struck or rubbed against other gear.....The best part?...The material only costs 7 dollars per can,and three coats on my buttstock barely put a dent in the can!
