Hey guys...get real. They're there for a reason...feeding babies. No doubt, though, they do look sexy, especially natural looking breasts. Beyond that, consider them a temporary asset for most women. But........when a woman has breast cancer, they're a huge liability. And, too many women have to go through that ordeal. All breast implants can mask lumps which might become malignant. This definitely reduces the chance of detecting cancer cells which, if caught early, could be the difference between living and dying.

Now, the real bottom line question is "How will you treat your wives, and/or partners, when/if she has a breast removed because of cancer?" Will she be less of a woman to you? Will you be compassionate to her during this physical illness? Will she be less appealing sexually to you? Will you abandon her if this happens?

To me...that's the real question that should have been asked.

Obviously you would not know that my wife is a breast cancer survivor of 17 years, and we consider every day a blessing that we're here together. Not having but one breast has not lessened our feelings for each other. She is also a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and has been trained to counsel women who are facing breast cancer or who have just completed the surgery. She has more facts about breast cancer than anyone here would want to read but the good news is that breast cancer detection and treatment in recent years has improved considerably. More recently, instead of having a complete radical masectomies, most women are either having lumpectomy's or being treated with chemotherapy, followed up with further cancer cell fighting prescription drugs.

It may seem strange to you guys, but I accompanied her on a visit one time, at the woman's husband's request who was very despondent and apprehensive about how he'd feel about her after her breast was removed. Hopefully, I alleviated his worst fears, and encouraged him to support her to the fullest degree. Real love is not because of a breast...but because of a whole bunch of other things and actions which haven't changed because of surgery. That's the sort of thing he wanted to discuss with me, as one who was going through what he was facing.

I've probably written too much on this subject. But...to worry about how big or how how small a woman's breast is, etc. seems like it's missing the point of what's really important when discussing love.

Great for them! Hopefully, they haven't had to go through the big ordeal of breast cancer...but if/when it should happen they'll have millions of people supporting their efforts to fight the curse of women.

My wife's walked that oval for several years. Usually, the route is lighted with candles inside sacks. It's an inspiring sight in the evenings and survivors and their supporters show up in mass.

I was hanging back on this thread and wasn't going to post a reply. I really didn't think a reply was necessary to the original post. And I never thought OX would post here either. That is until, out of the blue, he posts something that caught me completely off guard.

Thanks for reminding us all that all women are special and breasts are only a small (pun intended) part of the whole package. Men being men are watchers of women. We all do it though we may not all admit it. So few of us look at what and who women really are as a whole. We become fixated on certain parts of the anatomy. We're such pigs!

God Bless you, OX and your wife.

Thumbs up

Thanks Scott. I appreciate your support. :right: Somehow I feel that I've spoiled the fun in the direction that this thread was traveling. But...from my wife's personal experience I knew there was a totally different story which should be told.

Ok...I'm through being serious about breasts Whirlwind. In spite of what I've written before, I appreciate a good looking woman with nice tits as much as anyone else. Why else would I wear extra dark sunglasses around the pool?

Ox nothing wrong with your statements -- you have a complete different mindset than many of us right now because you have experienced it.

I like home grown and store bought............

It's been ruined for me.

I used to work at strip clubs so I have had to actually talk to strippers.
the fantasy is broken.
ignorance was bliss.
now I know the depths of hatred some women have for men.

To find a woman that really loves you, those are the only interesting breasts there are.

But I guess still like to look at new ones too.

Your testosterone levels are probably at their peak for you guys aged 18-50. After than a gradual lowering may occur...but not to the point that a sexy woman still isn't sexy.

Thank you to Ox and Scott for being serious about this. There is so much more to a woman than the size of her breasts. Any man who's interested in a woman's boobs more than her personality is a real loser and doesn't deserve the companionship of any woman.

true srx, there is more to a woman that just boobs. but that was not the idea of this post anyway. my main question (although poorly worded) was why is there this myth about men likeing bigguns more than lil' uns? i personally have never met anyone who would go for dolly parton type boobs over say....laura flynn boyle size.

I wasn't suggesting any of you were interested only in boobs. I'm actually pretty lax about these conversations as I've been around guys all my life. It doesn't bother me quite like it came across. In fact, this post doesn't bother me at all. I was just making a point by my last post.
