Update on Prayer Request

The man in the car accident I witnessed Saturday, died. He was 57, and he owned a local diner my parents and I used to frequent. He left behind several adult (thank goodness) kids; his wife passed away nearly 15 years ago. The image of his body is haunting me a little now, and it's getting me down. Please pray for those who knew him. Thank you.

I'm sorry that you had to witness such a horrible accident. My prayers are that he'll be in a better place now than we have on earth...and for his family and friends.

SRX, witnessing a tragic event is never easy.......I know.

Like Ox, I pray he is at peace now with the Lord.

And, you, take care because Post Traumatic Stress Disorder can strike anyone and for what might seem to others as minor incidents.

Talk it out with others...talk...talk....talk. And, take care.

Thumbs up

Hey Dale...SRX's the psychologist here.

But seriously, you're absolutely right about the post traumatic stress disorder syndrone. That can result in symptoms which are hard to explain unless it's dealt with in the proper manner.

Good luck SRX and peace be with you.
Ox

Thanks, guys. I know. My parents are here which is great. I'm worried about my friend though. She was in the car with me.

Perhaps your honest sharing will help your friend find her feelings around it also. Keep talking it out. More will be revealed.

That's THE main reason I never became a cop...It takes a special kind of person to respond to those kind of situations....And THANK GOD there are people who can!! My State Trooper best friend has told me stories (about accidents he's whitnessed) that made my hair stand up!
