Good information regarding guns, totally nuts idea about Jesus and what he taught.

I came across that website several years ago. Good basic firearms information, very well organized. I had failed to post a link due to the questionable Christian theology that website endorses in their teachings. I haven't had the time to review their entire website.

I think they take a lot of things as fact that are really not so well established. They did seem to have a stable military outlook, but I agree that their theology is shaky. The message of Christ is certainly not one of earthly revolution. I think they had good responses to pacifist arguements but flew to the other side of the spectrum in what they preached as the right answer.

I think as long as you can read with discernment, notice their correct points, and not take their theology as gospel in place of THE Gospel, it's a good source for information and opinions.

The Gospel is allways up for multiple interpretations. You can have 10 people read it and have them come away with 10 different interpretations of the same passeges. Its just the nature of the document. The big stuff is generally starightfoward but the details can get fuzzy.

As my father was always fond of saying, the only person who can correctly interpret the Bible is the author. Thus, to know the Bible, you must know the author.

Key here was stated above "diacernment" from our teacher the Holy Spirit. I just thought the basics were good. The theology aside.
Most here so far seem to know that the church is divided now anyway. A relationship with Jesus is a personal decision. Not all choose wisely. ;-(

Every word was written by a man. It was written to speak to different cultures in different times. It is a terrific historical and cultural document.

The only thing I really want or need to know about the bible is this: it is better to love. Learning how to love and practicing love in all ways makes the kingdom of God clearer.
Old St. Franny hit it on the head with the "vehicle of thy peace" bit.
