the inscription of FDR's declaration of war speech to the Congress. some one left off the ending phrase "So help us GOD".
why is it that the atheistic history rewriters, have to change things to meet their P.C. agenda??? what is the ultimate goal??? is some one going to remove all religious references at the Arlington National Cemetary because some one objects, or those on the Supreme Court building???
They simply don't understand what the country was founded on and that the references go back to the most basic beliefs of the majority
I am not the religious type but I do respect everyone's right to believe and therefore if a reference to god is put in anything I do not object because its not my place too
Actually, they didn't leave anything off the quote engraved on the Memorial. The "so help us God" ended a phrase in another part of the speech. It was several lines/paragraphs away from the quotation on the memorial.

You shouldn't let that simple fact get in the way of a good rant.
Nobody is clouding the issue with the truth.
Get the tar and feathers!
He's from Arkansas so he must know Bill Clinton.
Hmm, maybe he is Bill Clinton?
Let's see, what other nonsense can I throw up in the air?
I have a good friend - Col.-- Army 10th Mountain - 87 years old -- hero in Italy -- name William O. Gall (go look him up if you don't believe). And he said...
"The memorial is nice and it is appropriate. It doesn't matter that it took a while. More important, this country needs to understand the war we are in now. We lost 500 people a day in WWII -- today the country is upset because we lose that many in a year.
The cost of freedom is high -- but worth every cent and every life"
I think Col. William O. Gall is one of the best I have ever met. God bless him and God bless America.
You obviously know that Bob Dole was with the 10th Mountain -- what you don't know is that Bill Gall was only hundreds of yards away from him when he was wounded...and that when Bob Dole ran for office, he stayed with Bill and his wife in New Hampshire on one campaign trip.
K's eastern superior attitude has surfaced again. K wrote, "He's from Arkansas so he must know Bill Clinton."
How ignorant a person must be who makes that kind of statement? Sure it's not like in Boston...or some other eastern city slum...but AK does have some good people who reside there, and some cities of which they can be proud.
Guess U.S. geography wasn't on the liberal photography curriculum schedule.
I met Bob Dole. I did my impersonation of Bob Dole to his press secretary. You know, hold the pencil and growl "Stop lying about my record." He was not in an postion to laugh, but I could tell he wanted to.
"I met Bob Dole. I did my impersonation of Bob Dole to his press secretary."
I would bet she was really impressed!
Plus, had Bob Dole met you he would have recognized a fake immediately. Were you pretending to be a photographer? Or a Republican or a Democrat? Or an impressionator? or a fisherman?
It was a he, not a she.
At that time I was trying to be a college photographer. He was stumping for Mike DeWine. I also was wearing waders. I felt awkward.
Actually I did know Bill Clinton briefly :insane: . Attended a meeting at which he was present when he was between terms as governor (he'd lost the election after his first term because of some difficulty with raising the cost of vehicle tags, and agreeing with Pres. Carter to allow Cuban refugees to be housed at Fort Chaffee in western AR). He weaseled his way back into the governorship with that now famous "teary, hangdog look" and a promise that "I'll do better if you'll just give me another chance." Didn't like the SOB then and heartily despise him now. I think that I actually did vote for him once tho. Back in the 70's when I was still on active duty with the USAF, I asked my Dad who would be the best choice for Attorney General, and he said that this young guy Bill Clinton seemed pretty sharp so if I remember correctly, that is whom I checked on my absentee ballot .
One thing that kinda bothers me too, is folks that say Hillary is from Arkansas. 'Taint so . She's from Illinois, met Bill Clinton at college/law school (Georgetown??), married him and came back to Arkansas with him. Never was very well accepted here, went by Hillary Rodham until it became an issue during his governorship/presidential campaign. She tried to do a few things here similar to the National Health Plan she pushed as First Lady. Had about the same success here too :right: . We're glad she's gone but wish NY could have figured out a way to keep her without electing her to the senate .
