This is the only gun forum I've seen without a for sale section...whats the scoop? Some people have left because of this. What is the holdup? Look into the other forums and see what they have done. I would have liked to sell things to people on this board, but always have to go to ak-47.net...gunboards...graybeardoutdoors...etc. Please once again look into this.

This is important! I am about to review the world of "forums" on my website (www.firearmbuzz.com -- in case you have missed it on other posts!) -- our forum has traffic, but it doesn't have all the things that gun enthusiasts want! At this point in time, our forum appears to have the most traffic (and interest) when compared to others -- but it needs to keep up with the others on providing lots of extra services, or it will start to decline. |

This forum has a lot of things, getting ready to come out. One thing that has been holding up is a way to finance all of this. Offering users an email account, space on a gallery to put their own pictures up, and the ability to sell things on a forum is one way that has been talked about to reward members. A donating member is a member we feel has taken the time to become part of this community and members come to respect them and they wish to support this site. So far the other sites mentioned already have something like this in place. We have been up for 2 years so far, and haven't asked for a single dime or put up ads that just kill the site. We have been perfecting this site and in time you guys will see the bigger picture and additions we are adding to the site. Sorry for the delay, I will contact Jesse tomorrow and point out this thread. Maybe he can shed out more light on to your question Joe.

Just my opinion, I think a for sale forum would bring more attention to this site, and a photo gallery would give it more of an identity (as opposed to all our pics having "Hosted by The Guns Network" at the upper right). Though I could make good use of an E-mail, I wouldn't see it as a particular priority worthy of delaying other stuff. So you're saying the "for sale" forum would be limited to active and contributing members? Come to think of it, that sounds like a great way to keep business ethical, professional, and accountable, and a way to encourage constructive participation in the discussions here. BTW, whatever happened to Tapco as a sponsor?

BRG it also makes things legal because all of the key members of this site understand the legal requirements behind the sale of certain items and many of us are already licensed C&R's
