That looks like some parts of northern Florida. When the long rains come, so does the flooding. Our lakes are generally shallow - you can walk across most of them. The cypress trees often show old water lines up to ten feet high! When the floods come, our lakes tend to really spread out. It's great that y'all were able to get together. What was the catch?

About the same Big Dog. This is a tributary lake off the Il River. Normally the water isn't this high, but when it is! The fishing is pretty good. Mostly Bullheads & Catfish. Some Bluegill, White Perch, White bass, Sauger, an ocasional big Carp to spicen things up a bit. I was really suprised to catch a muskrat of all things. I couldn't believe it. He took the night crawler on pole and like! He wasn't a happy critter.
