No, never heard of it. But, if true, it does give one pause to consider. But, I guess I'm biased, I don't see the China connection as legit, at least not today. Maybe at one point but I disagree now as i believe China is trying to pull itself from the dark ages into the here and now. China's PSAs encourage people to learn english. China is trying to make the country a clean and desireable place for forigners to visit. Heck, the world games are comeing to Beijing. They need our might and our money if they are to continue thier growth. How else can a country support a 14% GNP increase in one year? If not for our, and other economic giants' money, how would they sustain such growth? I think it's hog wash to think China hates us. Yes, maybe in those dark, smoke filled rooms where the hard liners meet, maybe they grumble about us and the old days...But, for now, they need us and others. Just my opinion, and I feel qualifyed to offer it, since I was over there a little more than a year ago. Of course, I know that does not make me an authouriy, but, i do pay attention to what's around me and I miss very little. For that reason, dumb me, I know, I feel the book is fiction, plain and simple.
