Would England "Go it Alone?"

I have been watching the news on the English sailors seized by Iran very closely. Sounds like the English are more then a bit peeved over the entire ordeal and the Iranians (not exactly known for their smarts) are rapidly backing off the trial they promised. Think England take the lead and order their own attacks within Iran over this?

England knows we will back them and the Iranians do fear Bush just like they feared Reagan.

i doubt they ever would over that in these days and times. look how we (the big dog) did when the chinese siezed our recon plane a few years ago and held our folks. if regan would still be in office that would have been a whole differant story! it seems that the times as they are, we and other civilized nations want to rely on negotiations rather than a firm swift kick in da azz when it comes to countries siezing other countriesw folks and stuff. in my opinion , what changed the whole world into this kinder gentler negotiating loving place is the role of the media....dem bastages

Exclamation

England can get their backs up when they want to (I was surprised at the Falklands War!), but they are now as Liberal-heavy in their guvmint as we are. It'll take more than this little hullaballoo to make the Brits go in, in force.
Now, mind you, the SAS will probably stage a few "training ops" in that area - blow up a few Iranian assets as repayment. All off the record, of course.

That was before 9-11, Afganastan, and Iraq.

This was a political move. Iran just wanted to let everyone know they're not to be ignored.
This soap opera will continue.

I suspect that Iran is next on our list. Too bad, we have'nt solve the last two. I hope we don't start trouble there too.
