Coyotes in my county??

How weird is this? Several coyotes have been spotted in my county (near the shore in NJ) and another county in this state. That's so strange. Coyotes aren't indigenous to NJ, forget the shore area. Apparently, they've killed pets and farm animals, so I have to make sure my dog is okay. Anyway, I thought that was really weird, so I wanted to share that with you.

We have them in Vermont and they have crossed with dogs making coydogs. I can hear them every night yapping.

Never heard of such bastage coy-dogs before. One possibility if shooting them is not an option is to live-trap them, but of course you'd need to check local regs. We're not in an area where you can shoot animals either (though the right to self defense is fully affirmed) and there's been a groundhog eating our garden, so our neighbor's set out a live trap for the little guy. Basically a cage that closes on them when they enter, so you can take them far away before releasing them.

SRX...there's another kind of coyote, too...the two legged type who transport illegals from Mexico into the U.S. They're being hunted, too. No doubt, those G&G members from southern border states are aware of that type of coyote.

Yet, in KS and MO the four legged coyote's are making a comback of sorts. They were about wiped out because they were easy targets for coyote hunters aided with co-hunters spotting them from the air who radioed back their exact locations. There isn't any sport in that kind of extermination.

Coyotes are the rats of the Kanine world. We have them here though, i have large dogs and its legal to shoot them here. In California I understand things are getting out of control with packs of them eating pets and attacking children and ofcourse if you shoot one your in more trouble than the Coyote. One of the many reasons you could not pay me to live in the Peoples Republic of Commiefornia.

Believe me, NJ has many of those "coyotes" as well, lol. I must say while I agree they shouldn't be here, wow do they work hard! It's the only way they make enough to support themselves, seeing as they're not working legally. If the darn employers stopped hiring them illegally, they wouldn't be coming here.

SRX...I won't add much to my previous comments on the subject of "two legged coyotes" because that's been hammered around on a thread forwards, backwards, sidewways and every other way. Many G&G members expressed their strong disapproval because these illegals were getting U.S. aid for medical attention, food, and other benefits of American citizens, which indirectly cause our taxes to rise. And...they are taking jobs away from American citizens.

On the other side of the coin...some liberal people believe that as humans, even though they're illegal workers, and while on American soil, they deserve compassionate tender loving care equal to other full citizens. I'm just not one who believes this last scenario is best for our country.

Didn't intend to cause your thread about four legged coyotes to get on a sidebar.

OK so far haven't spotted any coyotes or bears. That's probably because I am in the more developed area of the county. Chances are I won't see them ever.
