Cool Postal M1 Carbine?

I was at a gun show yesterday and thought I saw an M1 with the manufactor something like Postal or Postmeter??? What's the story with that?

Also, what is the most sought after Manufactor for M1 Collectors?

National Postal Meter, Rochester, NY. was one or the 10 contractors to produce M-1 Carbines for the government during the war. They produced 413,017 carbines until stopping production in 1944 at the end of their contract.

When you see one, you will notice that the barrels are always made by someone else. NPM never made their own barrels, so don't think someone switched it.
