have yall seen this too?

a few days ago i was watching fox news and they were showing some footage from over in iraq and there was a marine sniper with an m-14. i thought the corps went totally over to the m40 years ago? anyone know bout this?

Don't know a whole lot about it, but saw a Marine with one on some news footage a while back. Man did it look good too, nice to see a good weapon being used properly by a well trained individual!

It just took the old leatherneck (Colt) his whole enlistment to learn how to hold it. He only shot him self in the foot three times!...lol!

Still a few in service...one we should have held on to...instead of 58,000 dead in 'Nam...it would be more like 40,000 dead.

I have read several articles saying they are using them but they put them with true marksman -- so I believe the corp. was the only division of our military that has them

well i would beg to differ on that shaun. the army has the same technical program for their sniper schools only slightly differant philosofies (sp?) from what ive been told anyway. i cant state that as an actual fact because i didnt train around any marines and the m-24 is an excelant weapon. i would like to compare it to the m-40 but i only had the chance to shoot the m-24.

We used the M-40 in 1983 ...maybe reserve or Recon units?
