This is kind of interesting. This is a site that allows you to see aerial photos of the country, I have posted this site before. http://terraserver.microsoft.com

In the picture of Washington D.C. you can see the White House is obscured.

In this picture you can see the capitol building and a few of the other Federal buildings are blurred out. Does anyone know for sure if this is the Capitol building?

This is a picture of the Pentagon. It was taken on April 26, 2002 you can see on the west side where American Airlines Flight 77 hit, and they rebuilding it.

We were able to focus in on one of our bases in the desert. Scary this is out there.

My bestest shooting buddy at work has a pic over his desk that's a bit eerie.
He and a team mate went to DC the week after the crashes for an IT course.
In the pic, Keith is standing in front of the Pentagon, with the blackened destruction behind him. Weird sight.

I had recently found a USGS site that showed ariel pics of much of the US. I managed to find my property, but the photo was outdated - 1999. I put my house up in 2001. Oh well. I was able to locate some interesting ponds, lakes and other features nearby that I didn't know we had out here.

some of these are old pictures -- I checked some images where my house is and there is an open lot (house has been there 8 years) some are recent in town.
