What did you all do for the 4th of July Weekend?

On Saturday, we had a garage sale. Afterwards, I went to the beach with some friends. Yesterday, for the 4th, I went to a beach resort where we played mini golf, did some shopping, ate seafood, and watched fireworks over the water. Today, I went swimming over a friend's house.

What did you all do this weekend?

Went to a place called White Lake spent time with family. Rode around in some golf carts cause the "campground" is like huge and hit on girls trying to pick them up. So many girls look older than they really are. I just drove off after I found out there age.

But I grilled out and then had to go to work. So far it was great!

Here's a hint with girls. If they look older, they look older, they're probably in high school. That's the age when girls try as hard as they can to look as good as they good. If they look younger, they've probably graduated. We stop caring about others opinions then.

It's the reason why moms of teenage girls always flip out at what their daughters wear--because they look older to men.

Watched fireworks Saturday and Sunday nights. Watched Wimbeldon matches. Played tennis Saturday. Daughter, SIL and 9 yr old grandaughter stayed with us since Friday. Cleaned out attic getting ready for a garage sale. Cut grass. Shopped for fishing supplies. Checked out a new gun store this afternoon. Cooked steaks on the grill. Had a couple of beers. Not all that exciting but we had fun being together. :right:

Wow. I am content with not having a clue about someone's age, so I usually try to establish school experience to establish age. Though you guys may heckle me on this, I'm not looking to "pick up" girls, but make friendships which are good on their own but can grow from there.

Oh yeah, I watched Harry Potter 3 and visited a friend, then on Sunday went to a block party, had one mere margarita, and much later on stayed over at a friend's place just to hang out. Today I biked 30 miles along the Youghegheny River and played a creative role playing game.

Saturday I cleaned the studio.
Sunday my wife and I attended the wedding of a cousin and her partner of 23 years. It was a wonderful thing and took place during the regular church service. It was Episcopalian in case you're wondering. After that, the whole family went to their house and sat around catching up. I talked guns with my Uncle Al. Heard the fireworks and fell asleep

Absolutely, I agree. Having friends is wonderful...but having girls that are hot +legal age and can carry on a good conversation while your at the lake...that is a good time. More than likely you will never see them again.

Regarding the fairer sex or whatever: it is better to have your midlife crisis when your twenty instead of forty.
In other words, better to regret something you actually did than something you wish you did, but; now its too late because the only tail you're ever going to get is attached to a Pottery Barn catalog with dog eared pages.
Smile, smile, smile.

Simply put...it didn't work out. I wanted to date her, but her mother wanted to always intervine.

Got to Melvern lake Thursday at noon and didn't get home until Monday at 2 pm.
Fried Turkeys, fish, grilled steaks and drank 1 or 2 beers. Went boating, float drinking and played horse-shoes and washers.
