Unhappy Ketchup boy's latest move....

Well, our lives just got worse, in my opinion, at least. Kerry chooses Edwards as vp. Now, consider this.....Edwards would have been my first choice, if I were a dem. But, true to dem past actions, they choose the worst of the lot...Kerry, as thier man. Edwards just screams moderate dem...at least to me. He, also, displays common sense and smarts....except that he's a dem. I think his being picked is going to hurt Bush. Your thoughts?

I agree. Also, he can play the outsider to Kerry's life in politics.
Cheney will say "In light of recent events, do you want an untested vice president."

It would be a smart move for Kerry. It might also deliver parts of the south. Bush Sr. used the same thing with Qayle. It just might work again only in reverse.

I don't know about delivering part of the south, I hear he's not all that popular in his home state. I do agree he would have been more formidable opponent for Bush, Kerry is a disaster for the demoncraps.

kerry has stepped in it in my opinion. a while back didnt kerry dismiss edwards as a candidate saying something like edwards has no experiance to be president or hold any office above his "one time"seat in the senate, and how when he (kerry) came home from viet nam in 69, edwards was still in diapers? kerry i think has shot himself in the foot on this. while edwards was running for prez kerry ran him down hard.

As much as I like Cheney, he needs to gracfully step down citing health reasons and talk Condi or Powell into stepping up.

Edwards certainly won't hurt Kerry, however howmuch has a VP canadate ever really helped anyone? As for Cheney I hate to see anyone forced out espcially without good cause. Guiliani would be a great choice polotically, however he is rather moderate for my taste

Edwards may scream Mod dem; but he is definately a Screaming Liberal. Kennedy/Clinton liberal.

Boy yall surprise me. If Cheney steps down this will be seen as nothing more than an attempt to counter Kerry's pick of Edwards. It will HURT him more than it will help.

I'm thinking, maybe I was not clear in my warning. To those who are hurting because of Bush's actions with this war, trust me, there are many, Edwards appeared as the possible replacement for Bush. Not too liberal but, not kerry either. My concern was, his choice, was a way to reach out to those on the fence by chooseing Edwards. Let's face it, there was little choice in the primaries and Edwards was by far the best choice. I'm sure you all agree with me there. But, true to form, the dems' core voters chooses the very worst, kerry. Now, add the worst and the best and you get something in the middle. Plus, God forbid, should kerry win and win again...then there is hope for the future albeit 8 years down the road and, provideing the taste is not too unpalitable to the American public. For this reason, i must give credit where it is due. Kerry is a evil, diabolical man. He has seen this oppertunity for what it is. Remember, we almost lost last time. How many votes can we afford to lose and still win? I fear kerry's choice will cost us votes. As for Cheny, he's a good man. No worse than any of the other elitists. He's rich and wants to become richer. He has done his public best to seperate himself from Haliburton. But, if he is getting rich off the pain of others, how is that any differant than the Bush family? The kennedys? Or any of the other dirt bags we all know and dispise? I hope he will not be abandoned as I think the public will view this as some sort of admission of wrong doing. Though I agree, Bush could have made better choices at the get go. However, it's water under the bridge now so, with respect, i think we should hold fast to our elected ones and pray they will be smarter than we.

Cheney's role as VP was to validate Bush's presidency.
I'll be interested to see the debates.
We don't elect Vice Presidents though.

Or better yet

Me and Nugent as prez n VP. Liddy as Sec of Defense. Oneastrix as head of Dept of Home Security. Ox in charge of education. Dale as head of Indian (native American) Affairs. Lenny gets the CIA. Tommy, FBI. Rufus is head of Secret Service. Lord Shrike is the head of the Black chopper/men in black people...

And the list would go on....
