St. Pete Times 7-10-04 AWB update....

On Tuesday, families of 101 California victems,Feinstein,Sen. Barbars Boxer,D-Calif.,and San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom held a press conferance topush for an extension.
This time,Feinstein may fail. The Senate PASSED a measure with 52 votes to extend the assault weapons law,but the House GOP leaders say they'll block a floor vote.As a presidential candidate,George Bush said he would sign an extension of the ban....if ti made it to his desk. But even in 2000,Bush knew that wasn't likely because many Republicans won't support an extension and there aren't enough Democrats who dare support it.
(We hope that is the case!)

Exclamation Call Now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:assult: :assult: :assult: :assult: :assult:

Good one Rave, we need to keep the pressure up, people some times forget the dates and don't call the congressmen on time.

If I had a congressman to call, I would do it right now !

The problem is that I don't have any congressmen to call and the Congress decides what goes on here, definitely a bad deal in my book !

Maybe I can call the congressmen from states that have a big PR population, that may help so those would be my 2cents !

I am on the phone with my reps offices once a week reminding them until this sunsets - I am sure at some point they have gotten the message -- I will send my cash to a pro 2a competitor if they ever vote for this legistlation.

The trend for our congress persons to become traitors is well established. I continue to view them all with great reservation. Actions speak louder than words. If they cave in, and vote for stuff they have promised to oppose, they have abused our trust and thus become traitors, in my book. My list is very long aready. I hope they do not forsake those of us who are ardent 2nd amendment supporters because, there is no doubt in my minds, they won this last one with our support! I'm sure even a stupid congress person knows which side of the bread to find the butter. If not, they can be replaced, hopefully, with another who will remember.

Kinda like the democrat state senator in WI who was all fro allowing concealed carry in WI, but whenthe actual vote came, he flip-flopped and went with his demmie buddies because HIS vote was the pivotal vote.
