So long for a week or so!

Starting tomorrow (Tuesday), Liss and I will be taking the kids down to Florida. We'll be gone for a week. The toddler has never been on a plane so he's just tickled pink about it.

We'll be down in the Sarasota/Siesta Key area. Flying into Tampa and then driving south to my mother's house.

Rufus I promise to be nice and respectful while in your city.

I may be around a little tonight when I get off duty, but just in case, I wanted to pass the word. We'll see ya'll in a few days.

Matt 1*

P.S. I'm leaving Joe in charge again.

As per Shaun: "Be safe and remember to take your sidearm Matt --Your permit is Valid In FL"

Since Oneastrix is flying to FL doesn't that present a problem? My understanding is that it's even a problem if the gun is stashed in your checked luggage.

All he has to do Ox is declare it and have it in a locked case -- its the only way you can lock your case and keep the criminals (TSA) out of your luggage. Ammo can be in the same case as long as its in a carton. I travel with mine all the time and in most cases I won't fly without a gun in my suitcase because I am able to lock my suitcase.

Give Tampa my regards, Matt. You should have some great weather there while you're down. Tiffany and I are heading back down to St. Pete here real soon for interviews with a couple of the local PD's there.
Tell "The You-Know-What" I said hello and have a safe flight......

SRX...with your proposed new B&B business...you'll be tied down so tight you won't be able to take off for vacations. Of course, you thought of that before and will get your mom to handle the business.
