The courts-martial of Fort Campbell soldier will begin Monday.

The first, for Sgt. Hasan Akbar, a member of the 101st Airborne Division who was charged with a grenade attack that killed 101st Airborne officers and injured 14 other soldiers.

The attack happened in Camp Pennsylvania in Kuwait, one day before the soldiers were to move into Iraq.

If he’s convicted Akbar could become the seventh serviceman on the military's death row.
