Spike Lee Hates Nascar?

Don't go looking for Spike Lee at any NASCAR events this summer.
The ornery movie director and Knicks fanatic nurses a paranoid fantasy about the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing circuit.

"I just imagine hearing some country-and-Western song over a loudspeaker at NASCAR: 'Hang them n-- up high! Hang them n-- up high!' I'm not going to no NASCAR," Lee vows in the August issue of Playboy.

Lee, husband of "Gotham Diaries" novelist Tonya Lewis Lee, shares some equally provocative observations about Lakers star and rape defendant Kobe Bryant and embattled R&B star R. Kelly.

"I was telling my wife that the Knicks may be getting Kobe, and her feeling was, Why would the Knicks want Kobe Bryant, an alleged rapist?" Lee recounts. But "in the sports realm today, the bottom line is to win. If a great athlete has some character flaw or problems, that's overlooked as long as he is able to perform."


Apparently Spike Lee isn't aware that its mostly rap music that uses the word nigger and tells tales about capping somebody. If he'd quit hanging out with rapist and dope dealers he might put out a movie with a mainstream attraction instead of blaming race for his dismal box office performance.

I agree if he stopped hanging out with the drug dealers and pimps he might actually see that Racing is one of the better family attractions open to everyone. I know the family values are a lot better than letting a child hear the hate speech in these RAP albums.

This just shows his total ignorance about Southern Whitemen and their sports - your basic "Good Ol' Boy" is one of the nicest, broadest-minded, hardest-working men in the nation. When a little old Black woman's car breaks down - who is it who stops to help her? Generally, a "redneck countryboy". I've done it myself - helped men and women. They look oddly at my truck's Confederate Flag front tag - but they appreciate the help.

Who really cares what that scum bag thinks? And, if anyone did care, how will it effect NASCAR or my life? I suppose, rather than toss the tire around his neck, we could slip one of his spindly little chicken legs into a tire...do the same with the other leg and string him up.....his worst fears realized! NASCAR has paid the Rainbow Coalition in order to train minority drivers. The training is supposed to take place somewhere in PA. It was to pacify the critics and to prevent any boycotting of NASCAR. According to the article the training has never taken place but the checks continue to be cashed.

It seems that Mr. K has proven me correct in my assertion that liberals, when they have nothing of substance to say, resort to name calling, character assasination and then, when that fails, they just shout you down.
