Any of you guys and gals planning a vacation to Las Vegas this summer? If so let me know so I can give you some good info on all the Hot Spots. BTW we have the new monorail that just opened up this week..it goes all the way from the MGM to the Sahara hotel. You can really see a lot and it is really fun to ride, it is $3.00 for a one way and $10.00 for an all day pass. You can also get on at Mandalay Bay where the shark reef is and go to the Excaliber thats the one that looks like a medevil castle..has a really big buffet called the Kings Buffet and then stop at Luxor thats the pyrimid.....has some really neat attractions....the Star Trek experience at the Hilton is so cool, you get on the Interprise and it flys down the strip, it is a motion ride...much...much more to see and do and if your on a budget you can still get a steak and lobster dinner or prime rib for $ 5.99 at some places...LOLLLL Lady Di

Lady Di, The wife and I generally go to Vegas at least once a year but I'm not sure if we'll get there this year. We really enjoy the casinos off the strip for gambling and staying at but we like to walk the strip (yes, the whole dang thing) one day we are there to see what new has popped up. The monorail sounds like an interesting and fun way to see what's new without tiring yourself out. Did you hear about the Linda Ronstadt (and her 'support Michael Moore' incident) and the Aladdin Casino deal that happened over the weekend? Aladdin Casino is on my list of 'gotta support them' casinos.

I go to the drag races there we generally dont hang on the strip last year we had a big party at the H-D cafe. at first we had a lot of civilian people there then ...they fired up the top fuel bikes. See, nitro methane is a verry efficient fuel for a dragster the problem is that they move such a huge volume of air through the motor that the exaust plume behind the motorcycle has virtually NO oxygen in it. besides the eyes burning nose burning smell there isnt any air. they started the bikes with a crowd at the rear (of the bikes) I guess they wanted to hear up close the incredible noise. It will shake your guts out after a while. when the plume hit most of the folks there didnt know to run out of it and it scard the hell out of them. some people collapsed when they got up a lot of them left Vegas is a great town its allways changeing so have you ever eaten at the Prime Ministers rib in Excaliber? they had prime rib roasts that.........well............I did not know a cow could grow one that big. I am talking Fred Flintstone size. that steak kicked my A $$ it was Wayyy to big and I was determined to eat it all. I should not have done that. I guess every one has a Vegas story or two..................

Yes... I heard about the Linda Ronstadt incident, severs her right, I guess she was doing that at every show, but it didn't cause any problems till she did it in Vegas...as the saying goes...ONLY in VEGAS...LOLLLLL I guess it almost caused a riot too, people were booing and it was a big mess over there. The management was upset because they said, they paid her for putting on a show, not to use the stage for her own political agenda. Oh BTW Dennis.... I have had the Prime Rib at the Excaliber and you are right it is unbelieveable....served with the english yorkshire pudding...they are like muffins.....now I am hungry...LOLLLL I think the room is called the Prime Rib Room....it is the best I have ever had...Let me know if any of you come to town....we can take a ride on the monorail...LOLLLLL
