So many things Remington has made that I'd love, but are not made anymore, or very often.
Like the Rem 7600 in 35 Whelen, only in limited runs.
And just today, I found that they produced a stainless detachable mag version in 300 Wby. And there's one on Gunsamerica for $630. If only this was a better time... I'm half tempted to sell something for it, but really can't justify it. If only they still produced it.

Same here, Flipzter! My 66's are good shooters - not great, but good.
Remington needs a good lower-priced rifle like the 66 again. They just don't have a .22 that appeals to me these days.
Mossberg too, no .22LR guns! (No, that new "plinkster" ain't a Mossberg!)
Great guns, fallen by the wayside.
The superb Winchester 75T - wonderful .22 rifle. Not as robust as the 52, but in a different class. Except for the 9422 and the odd run of 52 repros - no Winny .22's! Deplorable situation.
The old Ruger .44 Carbine - great gun. The newer "Deerslayer" is nice, but it just doesn't thrill me like the old gun.
We really need a good GI Spec, inexpensive M14 semi-auto rifle too. The SA is just too expensive for the common man.
The epitome of the .22LR target rifle - the BSA Martinis. I dearly love mine, and would like to see it produced again.
Personally I liked the Remington Nylon 66. Have a Apache Black and Mohawk Brown. Love em.
like LD said, because they were not profitable.
M-14 types are high because GI parts are getting scarce. shame you guys cannot latch on to a CHI/COM copy.
Remington came out with a new .22 kind of a companion to the 700. nice looking, but no inexpensive gun either.
answer: the G&G OLD FARTS GUN MAKERS. we copy the great oldies. singleshot .22's like we had as kids. Martini .22's to satisfy the sophisticated. top break pistols for me and NRAJOE
