HaHa but you still didn't explain about me making a fool of myself. That I take personally.
Ok let's see if I got this right--You called other members fools also, but only the members you directed it to could see it.

Question

Let me see if I got this straight You the administrator hacked your own site so that the members couldn't see each others messages. Is this gun and game's policy.

Wow. Thanks, guys. Actually, my birthday's not until the 10th of May, but I still appreciate it. Not only did Chris mention it, but you all honored my birthday with one of our classic threads that's taking a bit of effort to figure out what most of the people are saying. Maybe if I study it a bit... Yeah, forget my Diff EQ final that's on my actual birthday!
Thanks again, and I'll try to do the same for you guys (those of you who acknowledge your birthday).

Now I'm really confused. I've been under the impression all my life that my b-day was in June. Was I adopted or something, and no one has told me until now?

This is ammusing. looks like some trolling or a silly mistake. the threads from Chris are very un-Chris like. It looks like others got a b-day wish somehow by the response. Oh well I'm confused. If I'm making a fool of myself somehow, I'd hope someone isn't spineless enought to say how. If someones trolling, I hope you fulfill your childish fantisies, my self, I have better things to do with my time.

Alan C. You lost me....

No this is a script that everyone on the board can use....

just type this { b b u s e r n a m e }
without the spaces and put it in the top bar and it works, I was just trying to liven things on Sunday morning...

The only thing I hacked was a php file, and my terms of hacking there is modifiying the code.

Chris If you sent birthday greetings to other members, then why can't I view them. If you called other members a fool, then why can't I view them. Maybe I'm dense, but please explain....

Congrats Dana....

Alan C. your not dense....here is the description of the hack from the creator of it:
"Anyhow, this is a great little hack, and most importantly very very fun for the masses.
It gives your users the ability to use {bbusername} in their post, and it will mysteriously be changed into the viewer's username when he reads the page. "

So you are telling me that the other members got comments like make a fool out of yourself and I hope you get what you deserve automatically when they viewed the thread??? So in other words the members saw the same posts from you, but with thier user name attached.

Not funny, causes too much confusion. With all due respect, don't especially condone mind games. Just my warped opinion I reckon.

I'm glad Chris explained the little trick, he got me too!!! I got on late today and saw the Happy Birthday Stewart and thought "What the heck!" My birthday isn't until Sept 17th. I see it got everybody pretty excited.

MO Gun Lobby
Capitol Hill
Jefferson City, MO
@ Oxford's gun collection and other goodies.

or call

Hey Chris,

You've hurt my feelings. First you wish me happy birthday and then you say you don't mean it. Man you're giving me a complex. BTW my birthday was April 3rd. I thought you might actually mean it. Depressed and now 44.
