As far as sporting value, independent of its place in our American Heritage and as practice to defend my home and country against foes foreign and domestic, I'd say 1. Canoeing, 2. Shooting, and 3. Hiking. Biking and 4x4ing are a very close 4th and 5th.

Of course I take shooting more seriously because it's more than a sport. Also, working on guns is an incredible learning experience. So far I've built one, converted another, and am in the midst of drastically converting a third.

Hmm, maybe it should have been specified that you have to PARTICIPATE.

They say football is millions of people who desperately need exercise watching a few people who desperately need rest.

Oh yeah...Big Dog...I left out watching Beach Volleyball babe's. Thanks for the reminder. Gotta stay more alert.

I even left out, of all things, weed cutting. I spend a lot of my time doing that sport.

Then there's bug swatting. I keep the participants down with my insecticide sprayer. :smash:

Then there's girl watching at the car wash.

Yep! I'm an avid sports fan.

Trolling my Johnson and doing the Horizontal Mambo. Life's too short for other activities.

I like street racing, hunting/fishing and last, wrestling [TV]. Yeah, I know street racing is illegal and have nothing to race now. Yeah, the Tampa/St. Pete area has no fishing to speak of now but, it once was great...guess the third worlders runined that, like most everything else here. And, last, but, not least, wrestling, on TV. Yeah, i know it's all bull shizzit but, it's funny and they have got the good guy/bad guy stories down so well now...it's like a soap operah!

Jerry...I have a very short shaft and it seldom touches bottom. It's practically unused.

On my Evinrude boat motor the shaft is long and old. Actually, it's a 1949 4 1/2 HP, duel ignition outboard fishing/trolling motor/with fuel tank built into the system, painted blue and silver. Haven't had it running for over fifteen years but I need to completely overhaul it and replace gaskets and try to find new condensor and points( If I can still find these parts).
