I have 5 new guns out of twenty something. They dont shoot any better than the refurbished or rearsenal guns. Cheaper too.

If the price is right and someone will stand behind them, certainly!

I guess I'm old fashioned LD. I want to see em before I throw down the cash.
I've seen the ads too. I'm EXTREMELY leary of anything bought through the internet or magazines.
Ask Dale about his C&R purchase. I need to see them first!

I appreciate that point of view Snakebite but most reputable distributors allow an inspection period..but I am definitely tempted by some of the ads I have seen for Sig Sauer 226 9mm pistols :target:

Usually refurbished means that it has to be checked to assure that it functions according to design parameters. This holds true for electronics too!

I guess I'm the only odd ball here.
I would buy something that has been rearsenaled because it was old or worn out, but not a new gun that had problems and then returned to the factory to be fixed.

a large part of why I asked was all the Glock and Sig 9mm pistols that police departments trade in on new sidearms when they went to the .40 S&W and .357 Sig calibers :target:

I live in a small town (2500 people or so) my local dealer is a pawn shop that happens to buy, sell and trade guns..if I want to see something he doesn't have in stock I have to order it and of course pay for it too..but I also get a serious discount (frequent buyer and he's a volunteer firefighter too) I usually order my guns and have them shipped to him for transfer :guitar: :gangster:

My gun dealer has ordered guns in for me with a down payment. if i don't like what I see I'm not committed and get the money back. He puts it on the shelf and sells it whenever he gets the chance. Nice store, he has 2500 guns in stock.

btw with a reputable distributor I can inspect it and if it isn't as advertised I can return it as long as I don't receive it (ie fill out the ATF yellow form and take it out of my dealer's store) :uzi:
