Here's the only 1911 I have. It's a basic stainless steel Smith&Wesson.

The first one I ever held was a Springfield Armory V16 about 5 years ago. It felt sooooo good in my hand and I vowed that I would own some sort of 1911. About a year later my girlfriend at the time bought me one for my birthday. I got to pick it out too! Within reason she told me so no race gun for me hehe. I ended up with a Springfield Armory 1911A1 G.I. in OD Green and absolutely love it! One of the few things that I own that was really worth it. I want more!

I have my series 70 COLT that I bought when I was 21. I'm 56 now. Bought it new for full retail which was 125.00!!!! I had Bill Wilson, before he had a big name...install S&W revolver sights on it back in 1984. That was a popular mod in the 1950's and 1960's. APW in Florida hard chromed it ages ago. It still looks like it was mfg yesterday. Not for sale. My grandson gets it when I ship off...................

I have an original Colt 1911 that was made in 1918. Traded a Ruger Redhawk for the 1911 plus a a vintage flap holster, pilot's shoulder holster (WW2), and new barrel. Sweetest gun to shoot. I will have to get me a newer one from Springfield eventually.
