I have three. Springfield Mil-Spec parkerized
Springfield G.I. stainless steel
Charles Daly someone went a bubbaed. They cut the magwell
2 short so to fix it they cut the barrel to match. I added metal to
magwell and had it reshaped and a Kart Barrel, Wilson combat
springs and barrel bushing. It was a winter project, I could see the
pistol be thrown away. I know its a Daly but with a low 3 digit serial
number it is kinda cool.
Thanks
Ric

I have one now, a 1911 Colt military (not A1) that has some nice slick internal mods and is a lot of fun to shoot. I have had a couple in the past, a Mk4 model 70 in .45 that was a clunker and a 1930 civilian .38 Super that was the best pistol I have ever owned.

Wish I had one. My kid is looking for a junker for use with the AGI gunsmithing course he is taking. Anyone got a beat up truck gun they want to get rid of cheap?

I guess I am not alone in my addictions. Would love to have a prewar colt but have to curb my desires somewhere before I go broke.

Have a Springfield Armory Loaded 1911, 9mm, stainless. Its the accurate 9mm I have always wanted.
Also have a Kimber BP Ten II 5" barrel on layaway. Not the prettiest thing ever with the polymer frame, but it should make for one tough, high capacity carry gun.

Colt Sistema Model 1927, made around 1951. I plan on getting several more this month when they become available.

Yep - A Star PD (my first), a Series 70 that belonged to my older brother, and a Kimber Compact CDP that is my primary CCW.

I just picked up another one a few days ago a Sig 1911 Revolution. This is the most accurate out of the box gun I have ever shot!

U S & S in near mint, a 1991A1 that I carry ( basically the same thing as a 1911A!) and a SIST. 1927 Colt - great shooter.
