Jim Beam on the rocks but my wife won't let me drink hard liquor anymore which is OK because I'm more of a beer drinker. My favorite beer is free beer but if I'm paying for it I'll get Busch, Bud or Miller High Life.

It's only been about three years ago but I remember it clearly. My buddy and I walked up the hill from Princess Street to tour Edinberg Castle (we'd been riding on one of those double decker tour buses)...but the Castle was closed for the day. As we walked back we saw the Scotch Outlet Factory store and thought that was a a great example of fate and good fortune.

Well...me, one who favors Scotch above all other drinks, except beer, and Jack...my English buddy from northeastern U.K near Newcastle on the Tyne, decided to spend an hour or two in there testing different "species" of Scotch. Mm Mm Good! They even give us a menu and provided munchies while we were sitting around in a beautiful environment (walls decorated with different types of Scotch).

Had a hard time leaving there but we knew our wives would keep shopping till we showed up and that was costing us big bucks. Our entertainment was free but they bought "stuff" which had to be packed back home in suitcases which were already too full. Now that was one fine afternoon. To hell with the relics in Edinberg Castle.

P.S. Found out that women in Scotland can play golf...anytime after sunset and before sunrise and during blinding rainstorms.

To do that requires that you lean over backwards and kiss it upside down...and that's after thousands, if not millions, of other Blarney Rock kissers have slobbered their kisses on the rock, too.

Here's a link of some tourists visiting Blarney Castle and kissing the stone.
