What do you feel is America's most prominent treasure?

There could be no wrong answers but some more accurate than others.

we have so many it's nigh impossible to focus on only one.. our greatest strength is our "can do" attitude

All of the above are essential, but what makes all of the above work is the free market. Without money none of these will work or matter.

whirlwind, you need a girl friend.

Question

I consider our Constitution, the bill of rights, and the second ammendment in particular, because it gives us the ability to protect the rest of it from governmental despots.
That fine old document and what it means has taken quite a beating lately, and the second ammendment is there only to give brave, armed men the ability to enforce the laws contained therein.
The second ammendment is useless if we have no brave armed men to enforce it,seems like folks like that are getting fewer and fewer.
History does tend to repeat itself, but history in not carved in stone,we can change it if we have the means and the will.
All we need is a "Ben Raines".

I'm with Logansdad on this. The "can do" attitude makes up for some other shortcomings. I think this attitude is a result of being the melting pot of so many races in our country's history. We've gained something from each of the many immigrants which reflects in this "can do" feeling.

With all due respect to the Constitution as a whole and the Bill of Rights as a whole, it all boils down to the Second Amendment. With the right to keep and bear arms, we can restore the rest of our rights.

Ok,
Some very good responses. I did say "AMERICA" Not THE United States of America. Does this throw a different twist on it?

Sorry for the trick question. Just trying to get people to think.
