Hey Big Dog,you might want to consider heading for the hills, the tv this cloudy, gusty morn looks like your area might get the worst part of a surge if you live on the coast check it out.
Good luck to ya'.
Howdy, Rave!
We don't expect it to be too awfully bad here after all. I'm about twenty miles from the coast. We'll get some wind and a good rain this evening, but nothing like what LD is in for. Pensacola, Mobile - those folks better git to the high ground!
And I'm mostly worried about Nawlins - they are in a bowl - maybe a fish bowl before it's over! Hope Tommy has headed out . . .
And for Florida's east coasters - Jeanne is approaching . . . (should have the Jaws theme in the background . . . )
Yup,I'm keeping an eye on it,don't expect too much, but you never know.
The utility companies down here have not done their job of trimming the trees like they used to and 90% of the power outagest were caused by falling limbs, also the tree huggers and lawmakers have made it so bad down here that the citizen is afraid to even touch a tree on their own property!
The utility companies, causing most of the damage by their neglect now have the cojonies to suggest a rate hike to cover the extra work they have had to do.
You should have seen their contractors out there madly cutting the limbs they should have be doing all along just a few days before the storm got here,oh well, companies all over are cutting corners to make more profit and expect the tax payer/consumer to bail themout.
Looks like a major air line is pulling the same thing again,oh well,I guess they figure the American tax payer will never run dry! :insane:
