It just goes to show kids these days don't have any sense at all - This backs up my point that traditional colleges are a waste of peoples money if all the students are doing is drinking.


Samantha Spady had a blood-alcohol level of 0.436 percent — above the 0.4 percent considered potentially deadly — when her body was found Sept. 6 at the Sigma Pi fraternity house at Colorado State University, Deputy Coroner Dean Beers said.

Spady drank the equivalent of 30 to 40 12-ounce beers or 1-ounce shots of liquor, Beers said, but her death was ruled an accident and there was no evidence of foul play. Spady was found fully clothed, and her body had not been moved.

Spady began drinking with companions at 6 p.m. on Sept. 5 and did not stop until about 5 a.m. the next day. Investigators said Spady and her friends started with beer but later switched to vodka.

Not all college kids are senseless. And I've met quite a few older adults that are. It's not necessarily a "young people" condition, but a people condition. I have a good feeling several people on this Forum who are older still "party" the same way as some college kids. They just have higher alcohol tolerances because of their years of experience.

Good point sexy. It was a combination of bad choices and age that killed her. Its not just college kids either. Alchohol poisoning will kill you regardless of your level of education.

man! ive drank alot more than 30 or so beers in an evening before on numerous occassions! wonder what my blood content thing was? and i didnt even go to collage!

wait a second here!...now if 30-40 beers gives ya about 0.4...and the tv comercials tell ya it only takes 2 beers to push ya to 0.1...something just dont add up? or maybe i should have paid more attention in algebra?

she looks like she is no more than 100 lbs and 40 drinks in 11 hours. That means she averaged 3.6 drinks every hour. My guess is she binged on the drinks at first and hit a .20 and then continued drinking at a heavy rate most of the night -- the human body burns off alcohol at a rate of .02 an hour if it is not having additional alcohol added in fact instead of buring it she was adding to it -- I arrested a kid who had drank near 20 drinks in a few hours and he was foaming at the mouth upon my tackling him. It took 5 hours before we could get a sample and he was at .14 the doc's at the hospital siad any more and he would have been a coroners case.
