'Beat me once a week' says Iranian woman
22 September 2004

An Iranian woman, beaten every day by her husband, asked a court to tell him only to beat her once a week.

Maryam, the middle-age woman, said she did not want to divorce her husband because she loved him.

"Just tell him to beat me once a week ... Beating is part of his nature and he cannot stop it," Maryam told the court.

The Tehran court found the man guilty and banned him from beating the wife, the paper said.

"If I do not beat her, she will not be scared enough to obey me," the husband said.

Gotta love that peaceful Islamic religon.

i heard a joke on tv once. the guy said "ya know what all battered women have in common?...they just dont know when to shut the "F" up! lol personally ive never laid a hand on a woman (sept in a frisky way that is!) but i have been accused of it!!!! when my first ex and i got seperated,she went to all our friends and told them i beat her! one came to me and toild me (because she knew it was a lie) and told me all about it. women are evil!...but not worth lowering yourself to hit one!

Any man who beats a women should be jailed. There is no excuse.
One word you NEVER want to use in a marriage is obey. Its no longer "To love, honer and obey". Its "To love, honor and cherish"
But this a third world country. She could be killed for not having clean socks for the husband. Maybe beating isnt so bad. Lenny, your thoughts?

maybe thats why they have to wear those head coverings? perhaps all muslim men have to beat their women to feel like a real man? so they make them wear those things to cover their bruises?

Well guys
There have been times in My life That I have had to fight with a woman.
I hate it worse than anything.
I used to be a doorman at a titty bar in Dallas called the Million dollar saloon.
there was this Lesbian that was in love with this dancer that was VERY hetero.
(we have the same thing with male customers all the time)
this lesbo jumped on the dancer and I had to eject her from the club and the fight was on.
That woman almost kicked my arse untill I finally had to start fighting her like she was fighting me, Like a MAN
I finally drug her out of the front door of the club.
we where both bloody
the cops showed up, and luckly this same woman had done the same thing before at Baby Dolls with a different Dancer.
when the Lesbian recognized the cops she fought them too.
the two (one man one woman)police had to beat the cr@@@p out of that woman AGAIN to get her restrained and inserted in to the back of the police car. (hog tied)
I was so glad she never came back.

As far as a man beating his wife , well In America the wife only has to endure it once.
anything after the first time is with her tassit approval.
women that stay around after the first one I have no pity for.

There is a whole big world out here that we can run around in.
This is America, No woman has to endure a beating from a husband more than once.

The sad but true fact is there are women that Want to be hit.
its a power thing.
A woman wants a man to hit her so she can then blame everything wrong with her life on the fact that her man beat her .

some women like the attention that fighting with her man brings.

I have seen women goad men in to fighting with them and after the first slap by the man to the woman.
the woman is so happy, she got the man to do what she decided

I HAVE hit a woman BACK IN SELF DEFENSE.
I hate that.

this Iranian story shows that men hitting their women (and women that love it) is a transcultural behavior.
its part of human nature.

claim how horrible it is,
that wife beating is an abhorrent behavior.
That doesnt change the fact that some men will beat their wives and some wives will love it.

Personally I think its stupid,
but Hey I did not think it up.

To me there is a vast differance between a beating and a fight. I told my wife a long time ago if she wants to argue we'll argue and she'll probably win, if she wants to throw punches, she's going to lose. I'm an equal oppurtunity arse kicker in the respect, if you don't want to be hit don't hit me. So far we have never reached that height of passion and I hope we never do.
