You know I'm a bit jaded as far as hand guns go - Kimber BP10 II polymer framed 1911!

I refer to mine as my "GLOCKTEEN ELEVEN"!

Actually I have a hi-point .40. Very reliable gun. Not a great gun for carry though.

OK, I ran across this old post and I had to comment again. After almost 5 years now - I have completly changed my mind. THe XD was new and cool then, but after the new wore off the XD I am now a Glock guy again. I no longer own any XD's and my Glock collection continues to grow (at 7 now). The XD is a fine pistol, but the Glock's simple design and reliability can't easily be beaten.

XD by far. Never shot a H&K but have shot many Glocks and they all did nothing for me.

My vote goes to the XD's. Bought one in 9mm, then sold my Glock to get another XD in .45. Great shooters, high ammo capacity, and mine have been extremely reliable. Not a single jam yet, 1000 rounds and counting between the two of them.
