Chaney wins debate over Edwards

Dick Chaney clearly out debated the former trial lawyer, John Edwards. Time and again Chaney pointed out errors in the Kerry/Edwards assertions. Even though Edwards displayed his broadest grin or smile during the broadcast, sternfaced Chaney exhibited a serious demeanor on all subjects discussed. At the same time, Edwards attempted to shake Chaney's steadiness by quoting mistatements allegedly said by Bush/Chaney, but failed to get his points across as anything other than purely debate techniques of smoke and mirrors.

Wink

I agree,Mr. Chaney did a good job, which came as no surprise because I had seen him take care of business before,he didn't let us down.
i hope President Bush does as well the next time he and Kerry mix it up. :right:

I watched the entire debate as the fur began to fly. Edwards couldn't even follow the debate rules.

Cheney is a master at debate compared to the blood sucking slithering bastage of a trail lawyer.

Exclamation

It's the experienced Elder Statesman vs. the smiling TV Prettyboy!
And the Demolibs are still claiming Edwards won!
The Dems could not have fielded a poorer team of contenders this election.
The scary thing is, the misguided Sheeple may still elect the Idiots.

Thumbs up

I tell ya,the more I think about it the more I am thankful that Mr. Chaney ruled the day,he got in a lot of good info in a very short time, imo he did more to inform the American people of the BS going on behind the scenes than anyone else could have.
I didn't see all the debate, but what I did see was good! :right:

I watched the Twins beat the Evil Empire - glad Cheney handed it to him. I hate lawyers.

Our local newspaper this morning was all Edwards. I guess they were watching some other TV than we were.

Edwards parroted the S.O.S. nothing new or different, same tired old slogans. Bush better crank it up. the 1st debate he sucked.

know whats really scary, at this point there are undecided voters, why is that; no conviction, they will be in the voting booth...going duuuuuuh!!!

PapaG...it's amazing how many people elgible to vote do not pay any attention to current events. Too many have the belief that they won't waste their vote because it won't make a difference. Then there's some who don't have a clue as to when/where/who to vote for because they're oblivious to what's going on around themselves. Guess they think someone else will take care of them...or something. I can't figure them out. All I can do is vote every election like clockwork. Always have and plan to keep voting because it's my right which too many people have died for.

Ok...I'll get off the podium :guitar:

well ill admit it,i dont vote "every" election. if their are candidates i truely believe in ill vote like there is no tomorrow! but if not i wont. and the same goes for bills and such (oklahoma is so good at taking our money!) now if a vote is going on that i am passionate about, like this gay marriage thing or any right to life issues ill be the first one at the polls! i havent run across such a situation but if mccain would have been chosin over bush in 2000 i would have been happilly abscent. i dont believe in partyline voting, nor do i believe in voting for someone you dont believe in just so the other guy wont get in...wait thats the same thing isnt it? lol well ya get my drift anyway. but i dont discredit others that do! i personally dont understand partyline politics but then again the metric system threw me for a loop too.

Whirlwind...I didn't mean to step on your toes, etc. More what I had in mind was the under 30 "me generation" crowd.

That's cool...that's what I thought. :right: Anyway, there's a lot of people who take your stand on voting. The way I see it, anyone not voting makes my vote worth more so I keep going to the elections and pull those levers.

I'm really thankful to be living in the United states. Sure, there's plenty of problems here...but where else could I have this much freedom as right here in the good old U.S.A.
