Plinking Question

I like to go out plinking in the desert from time to time. I like to take interresting targets.

Do you guys think it is safe to shoot at a milk jug full of ice at 20-50 ft with any of the following calibres: 12 GA, .357sig, .357mag, .45ACP, .22 ?

:full:

My favorite plinking is buying a case of the cheapest soda I can find and picking off full and prepped (shaken) cans at 100 yards from my back porch with an air rifle. It's great because I can drink and relax, and the neighbors don't call the cops about gunshots next door. People say air rifles aren't real guns... but the cans don't know that. BOOM!

crack the ice up a bit before ya start so that it is not a solid mass and it should be fine. or turn the milk jug where one of the corners is facing you if you dont want to risk breaking the jug when ya crack the ice.the corner being toward you will deflect the shot or even a 22 slug down range and away from the shooter at an angle.

Thanks for the tip! I hadn't thought about it that way. I knew there might be some kind of ricochet danger, but couldn't wrap my mind around how do minimize the risk.
