I distinctly remember the anxiety of growing up during the cold war, fall-out shelters, etc.
Thankfully it never happened but few realize just how close we were to annialating the human race.
Now we face a menace where terrorists would love nothing more than to have the future history of the US read like a science fiction novel.
They are talking about Yellowstone exploding into a super volcano sometime in the future.
Will we ever see anything?
I believe that before 2010 we will see something on the level of 9-11, and perhaps worse, from the terrorists. I truly think they will continue to grow in numbers and will slide by security measures and succeed in doing somthing again on our soil.
I think if anything gets the entire human race it'll be something long term that we bring on ourselves such as environmental poisoning, accidentally unleashing a 'cleansing' virus, depletion of enviornmental resources, etc.
I guess if we ever see in our life time will be up to the good Lord and His inevitable plan(s).

I live less than 10 miles from the White House and work less than 15 miles from Camp David and 2 miles from the Pentagons' satillite up links, in most shtf senarios, I don't see myself making it past a day or so. This is depressing, I've got to move.
Considering the military and ship building in my area (Mobile Alabama) If the "big One" ever happens, I am pretty sure I will be burnt toast in the first volly of missles.
Will it happen? I worry way more about my OWN troops making a move against normal citizens than I do a foriegn power.

I don't believe the fall of the U.S. will be terrorist related. We will have more attacks on our soil but the U.S will go down due to now and future internal problems.

Ok I spelled it wrong but most preachers stay away from Revelation because they do not understand the book. There is some of it I do not understand but I am still learning. Eschatology is the study of the 7 years tribulation not just death and judgement. And yes the end of this world as we know it. We still have the 1000 years to go through.
