Question if semiautomatics are outlawed

if Kerry gets elected he has expressed an interest in banning semiautomatic firearms for the civilian market...what would you buy in the future ?
btw you can thump your chest elsewhere..I won't be impressed..some of you guys are voting for him and some of you guys aren't members of the NRA so sell it to somebody that will buy it..I'm not that gullible

Well, if worst came to worst . . .

I have been developing more interest in the lever-actions these days.
Probaably a .357Magnum carbine, or the new limited-edition Marlin .32-20 model might be my next major gun purchase - no matter whose butt polishes the Big Chair in the Oval Office.

Not trying to initiate chest thumping here, but how many people in here would "forget" where they put their semi autos if the gummit went around confiscating them?
--------------------------------------------------------------------

I would probably look into bolt actions more.

I don't own any semi autos because they are quite dangerous, especially those scary black ones, and they frighten me .

I already own one bolt gun, a Gibbs Quest II Extreme Carbine in .308:

I might have to look into buying a lever action of some kind if there is a semi auto ban.....not that I have any semi autos mind you, because I'm a good little boy, and those mean old rifles might hurt me.

As far as handguns go, well, I've always liked revolvers anyway.

I hope you like single action revolvers if Kerry outlaws semiautomatics

Are DA revolvers categorized as semi auto? Hadn't heard that before, although it wouldn't surprise me. They'd have to redefine the definition of semiautomatic:
Ejecting a shell and loading the next round of ammunition automatically, but requiring a squeeze of the trigger for each shot. Used of a firearm.

But hey, the gun grabbers were fairly successful in redefining the term assault rifle weren't they.

well for rifles I would shift to my lever guns and then for handguns nothing beats the single action revolvers guess I could carry the blackhawk 45 colt

Kerry and his ilk would love to outlaw civilian ownership of sidearms too :target:

I remember reading the law and they defined "assault weapon" as certain semiautos, and then they included the street sweeper. So they've already called a revolver a semiauto.
