Well,
Weather was horrible last night, T-Storm & Tornado watched and warnings.
Made for an interesting day today. The wind kept up pretty good 30~40 MPH.
Our group of 3 adults & one youngster took 6 wood ducks. I had to be the smart alleck of the bunch and pop this squirrell running on a log back in the flooded timber.
Flooded timber was at our backs with flooded corn in front. We lost a couple of ducks in that corn. We tried as hard as we could to find them. Felt bad about it, but goes with the territory.
A few mallards tried to work, but too windy.
I foregot the camera in the vehicle. I'll try to get a shot of some of the scenery tomorrow.
Thanks Shaun.
We were hunting a flooded Ag field on the edge of flooded timber. My brother was leaning up against one side of this big tree an I the other side. I was ocassionally looking back behind us to make sure wood ducks weren't sneaking through & this critter was out in knee deep water walking across a log. I think it was trying to ge to the corn in the Ag field.
All I seen was food on foot. The brain took about 1/2 second to process the legalities, then, well you know the rest
