Dawn of the Dead movie review

Saw this on DVD tonight. Nothing like a good zombie movie. There's a great line in there where one of the characters says something like "we've got 14 shotgun shells, 36 of these !!!!! 9mm, and 18 of these mutha !!!!! 357s".

IIRC, this is the old George Romero classic with the group holed up in the California shopping mall? Hillarious movie! I love the scene with the biker trapped in the blood-pressure machine, and the zombie gets him. Hehehe.

The scene with the hunters out in the field shooting the zombies is good too.

I think he's talking about the 2004 "Remake" which was nowhere near as good as the original..it had all the potential and squandered every bit of it

I don't know LD I've seen both and I rather enjoyed the remake. My .02 cents.

usually in horror/sci-fi movies, ever notice how ineffective fire power is against the creatures??? guy stands his ground pumping lead into the thing which returns the favor with a one handed choke.

Like they explained in the remake, the only way to put em down permenently is to shoot'em or stab'em in the head. Flesh eating zombies anyway. LOL

the movie was completely devoid of plot, storyline and character development :insane: the original had a plot, storyline and you cared about the protagonists..you wanted the good guys to win..I personally didn't like "Flyboy" and wasn't surprised when his cowardice got him killed :jaw:

Anyone seen Shaun of the Dead? That is a pretty freaking funny movie. Makes fun of scary movies, but is still a good mild horror movie.

Funniest part is when they are throwing records at the zombies heads.

I have seen all three of them. Dawn of the Dead(1977) Shuan of the Dead, and the Dawn of the dead remake. I enjoyed them all, didn't like the remake nearly as much, though.

I have also seen Land of the Dead just recently... It was alright.
