Exclamation Well hell....

Wifey in the Hospital again...had her bad boob rebuilt and the good one reduced to the same size as the reconstructed one. Tryed to get the Doc to put in the Dolly Parton specials while she was under the knife but he said no...bastage!

Just found out there is a 90% chance of my job going bye bye because of a new system going in at work that will monitor everything. My boss is trying to fight for me saying we still need a body there if things go wrong. I am getting my emergency fund back up...sold my NHM91 last night and have my Walther PP for sale on the boards...have had 5 nibbles but no bites yet.

More than likely I am going to sell 5 of my 7 CZ52's and maybe one of my last 3 AK's...can't decide to get rid of my VEPR K or my SAR-1. My Yugo SKS is going also.

It all seems like wretched excess when things look bad...who needs 23 guns? A man should have a couple of good handguns...a good shotgun...a good rifle and be proficient with them.

I know what is NOT going...SLR101S...Bulgarian Mak...P95DC...S&W22A...Mossy 500A....M38...91/30 (M44 Lammy will go) stainless 10/22...2 of my CZ52's.

I am probably over reacting but I have always been the better safe than sorry kind of guy. Another bankruptcy is probably in my future to keep the hounds off me. I can have close to $6,000 stashed by the time they let me go...then there is unemployment bennies. I will NOT lose my truck! I didn't buy my first new vehicle just to lose it! Also know a guy that runs a business that I can get about 30 hrs a week on the side cash.

Hope everyone else is good.....

Hopefully things will pan out for you and you won;t need to sell but you do have a good plan.

Just like Dorito's...they'll always make more guns! I've always considered guns like money in the bank but you get to play with 'em first!

I smell what your stepping in my brother.

The 'ole company is trying to crawl out of the hole dug by the former Pres & VP. Don't know day to day if the key will fit the door.

Have an opportunity to go full time technician at the Air Guard. Don't know if I should take a chance & take the job. Might get security clearance taken away due to bills racked up after a year of being activated. No Military security clearance no Federal civilian job.

I don't have enough duplicates of guns & such to sell to make any difference. So the heck with that. They go no where (untill the kids can't eat)

Far as I'm concerned OBL and Co. Won a few battles on my front, but not the war. 9-11 took care of about all civilian retirement, screwed the economy over on the sales job, activated my butt, didn't mind serving but may as well been paying uncle sugar to come to work. And now because of that, mabe no security clearance.

So, when you find a decent shanty let me know Joe, I'll contribute a deer and some fish now and then. Oh, I grow good 'ole tomatoes and make home made wine too :right:

Thanks Shaun :right:

Not quite there yet. I think I could find plenty of meat around here if I got hard up enough. At least 'till I got caught.

Sounds good bro...I'd make abso freaking lootly sure that Unkie would know that they screwed you up because of re-activation!
I look back on it and wish I had made it a career...would of retired 8 years ago with 20 or have 2 more to go right now for 30...oh well, spilled milk man.

I always bounce back somehow...been working 28 years straight with only 6 months once of unemployment back in the mid 80's...might be time to kick back a little...re-assess the situation and get back in shape...hit the weights etc.

Might have to do the starched shirt, shiny shoes, polished badge Security again...sur was nice being inhouse though...no one watching me...work alone...post here 10,000 times on company time...SIGH!

Sorry to hear about your job Joe....I too recently got rid of a lot of toys out of necessity. They always make more. They always make more.

Heck, Joe - go Federal! The TSA oughta be hiring. It's only half a joke - with the Feds you'd get bennies. If you got your 'G' license, maybe ride shotgun for Wells Fargo.
Security down here is pretty lousy - with most private companies you get no bennies. I knew guys (and gals!) who were working 60 to 80 hour weeks to put the beans on the table.
Beats being a door greeter at Wally World though . . .

Sorry to hear of the guns going, but sometimes it's necessary. My close buddy got into some credit trouble (actually his wife did . . . ), and he had to unload some guns, as well as one car, his camper trailer, and his old classic 40's tractor that he'd just restored. Dang.

Some of the guns he'll eventually get back . . . (Bigdog whistles suspiciously)

Those two new gun cabinets look good . . .

Luckily he managed to keep his MAC11 - they probably woulda had a hard time justifying all the transfer paperwork. Hehehe.
That thing was a good investment. Bought three years ago for $1010 - now they are commanding over two grand! What other investment gives 100% return in only three years . . .

Best wishes to the wife! Hope all goes well for her.
My buddy's wife had surgery yesterday. Scary stuff, but she'll be okay in the end. He's off this week as she's still in the hospital, and he's doing the Mr. Mom bit.
