One messed up week

Welp Tuesday company anounced lay off of 1/2 the guards at the site Im at (about 10 guards)....by the end of the month..names to be announced later

Wednesday was the "quit day" for my 3rd Stop smokeing class (I know bad week to quit smokeing)

Luckly we have severl hard core democrats that have pointed out that this is all GW Bush's fault (I did not know he scheduled my VA Appointments for the stop smokeing classes)...

Thumbs down

Man, that bites. The mine I work for is talking about closing up after december. The bad part is I had to burn a bridge with a good employer to get this job.

I still got me smokes though!

I know how you feel...you know my up in air deal after the first...sold my least favorite guns to get a fund up to supplement my un-employment...it only hurts a little...glad I bought some good guns that I broke even on or made a profit and sell for a decent amount...:right:

Whats used Hi-Points go for? $75-$90?

Dangit! We knew ya had a stash of them . . .

Sad to hear this news of layoffs - why is it always right before the holidays?

A couple years ago, the State of Florida experienced "Black Monday". 300 employees in my building alone got the axe - two weeks before Christmas! Jeb has promised to cut the State employment by 25% each year. Bad Juju.
They always cut the good knowledgable workers approaching retirement - screw them good. The useless chaff stays in their upper floor offices . . .

We may all end up as Wal-Mart door-greeters before it's over. It isn't necessarily Bushes fault - he's just continuing bad policies set forth by his predecessors. It still sucks, and good American families suffer for it.

Wink

Probably one good reason why they pay the big bucks and are still begging for help.

On the one hand you definitely cannot hide there forever, and the sooner you learn the better. On the other hand, you can't overextend your resources, whether they be financial security or personal protection. Grow up and move out at a pace that's realistic, just do it for real. I'm in the process a few years ahead of you, and I must say you need all the help you can get, but have to use it to actually become self sufficient. Heck, that's actually what I need to do more myself. But I'm getting there, a step at a time.
