I'll be going to a couple of parties. I wish we could stay home and watch the ball drop.

Thumbs up

Well, back to work Monday, take it easy next week, then enjoy the New Years Eve day off (nice perk for a State Worker). Probably spend the day at the range, if this danged cold rain ever lets up!
Maybe break out a bottle of Drambouie, and get mello that night - watch that glittery ball drop.

I took my "vacation" back during Thanksgiving - I always let the folks with kids take the Christmas and New Years weeks off.

You boys and girls need to get a life. :guitar: Seriously, though, I'd like to join you staying home with a bottle of blended scotch and watching a ball drop...but my wife has made alternate plans of which she says I'm required to attend. And being the henpecked old geezer I am...well...we're going out again with some friends to a local "club" for some danc'in and maybe even drink'in to celebrate something. Don't know if it's getting through last year in one piece, facing another year of taxes, surviving another year of life, or whatever??? But I'll be there with her looking dumb and stupid again with my crazy hat on and blowing whistles as the clock strikes midnight. :ballons:

Same as most years......I'll hit the rack around 2230, roll over when the fur works go off, and sleep til dawn....

Happy New Year!

My church is having a progressive dinner so the wife and I are going to that. Every course of the meal will be at somebody different's house, so it's kind of like a pub crawl except you eat at different houses not drink at different pubs. Sadly, I doubt there will be any champagne, but it will be fun nonetheless.
